1993-1996 I worked for a Finnish company offering interior solutions to private & public clients and I cooperated with interior architects, as well as textile & furniture suppliers. My ability to create spaces with an eye for detail, diverse colour palettes & textiles, were the primary driver for my success. During my 1st year in Denmark I wanted to pursue my passion for photography & learn to work with lighting, composition and my camera. I offered my assistance to a photo studio to learn in return. It developed into a great co-operation - my quick eye for picking the best photos, ability to think out of the box, as well as my previous client experience elevated me to manage a wide variety of assignments. I also won 1st prize in a portrait competition at a photography Summer school in Gotland.
For 13 amazing years, I worked for 3 renowned Danish luxury goods brands, marketing fine jewellery, silver design and hollowware to High Net Worth Individuals. I was responsible for global marketing & sales projects in cooperation with wonderful groups of inspiring and creative people; designers, art directors and content creators. The brand campaign I am most proud of is the ‘Light’, ‘Joy’, ‘Wisdom’, ‘Love’ and ‘Compassion’ series I made for Shamballa Jewels before moving to Vietnam (Conqueror of Love campaign above).
When I moved to Vietnam in 2017, I shared my marketing experience within lifestyle, branding and marketing for a few organizations and startups. But then I started painting and the rest is history. Click on photo above for a glimpse of my life in Vietnam.
I like to keep challenging myself, so in 2023, together with Saigon Writer‘s club, I published my first short story; ’They call me Coconut’. The story is about child trafficking, which is one of the causes I feel strongly about. I also volunteer for the organization ‘Writing Through’, and have held creative writing workshops for underprivileged or orphaned children in Cambodia. I will always advocate for kids’ rights to live happy and fulfilling lives.
During my career, I have been interviewed in Denmark, Vietnam and even South Korea giving a peek into my visual universe or sharing my beliefs or values as a global citizen on this planet. Click on photo above to see one of these types of articles.
In 2023 I enrolled in a Mastery of Fine Arts Programme based in the US. I will always continue to want to learn important disciplines in painting and drawing, to understand the properties and processes of different medias and to experiment and integrate them in my work. I am curious by nature, so studying is a way for me to keep challenging myself and moving forward.
